AMTSJ also always provides captioning on the day of the ASL interpreted performances.

Captioning is an alternative option for patrons who are Deaf or hard of hearing if they cannot attend the Sunday shows which feature ASL. We offer captioning units Wednesdays through Sundays during the second week of each produced show and on both Sunday shows for tours.

Open captioning visually displays the play’s dialogue and lyrics as they are spoken on stage throughout the entire performance. Captioning units may be used from any seat in the theater, during our prescheduled access performances, at no additional charge. Patrons who wish to share units need to be seated together. Captioning units are available for anyone who wishes to enhance the theatre experience by being able to read in text form what is being said from the stage!
